HYUNDAI MOTORSPORT
Working as the sole graphic designer, I developed and delivered the complete digital graphics package for Hyundai Motorsport's 2026 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and Touring Car programmes. Creating content throughout the season, I produced a cohesive suite of creative assets that reflected Hyundai's bold, energetic and playful personality across multiple championships.
Throughout the season, I designed everything required for a rally or race weekend, including schedules, driver announcements, stage updates, results, podium graphics and social media content. For 2026, Hyundai adopted a video game-inspired creative direction, which became the foundation of the race poster series and influenced the wider graphics package through gaming-inspired visual elements.
Hyundai Motorsport is known for taking a fun and unconventional approach to its communications, and my role was to bring that personality to life through the team's visuals. By combining engaging concepts with clear communication, I created graphics that entertained fans while maintaining a strong and consistent brand identity across the season.
Race Poster Direction
The race poster series took inspiration from some of the most iconic video game covers, perfectly reflecting Hyundai Motorsport's playful and unconventional approach to the 2026 season. At the beginning of the year, I worked closely with the internal social media team to map out the games that would inspire each event, ensuring a varied mix of recognisable titles while maintaining a consistent creative direction throughout the championship.
Each race weekend featured a bespoke poster inspired by the artwork of a classic game, with the reverse side recreating one of its most memorable in-game scenes. Depending on the style of the chosen title, I used a combination of photo manipulation and illustration to accurately capture the look and feel of the original while seamlessly integrating Hyundai Motorsport's cars and drivers. The result was a series of nostalgic, eye-catching posters that celebrated gaming culture while reinforcing Hyundai's fun and distinctive brand identity.
